Data Engineer

Join our team and build large-scale, cutting-edge data platforms from the ground up! This role offers the opportunity to leverage the latest Big Data technologies without the constraints of technical debt.

Responsibilities:
* Help define company data assets (data model) and develop Spark, SparkSQL, and HiveSQL jobs.
* Design data integrations and data quality frameworks, and evaluate open-source/vendor tools for data lineage.
* Collaborate with business units and engineering teams to develop a long-term Data Platform architecture that is efficient, reliable, and scalable.
* Own the data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs.
* Work with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and represent key data insights.
* Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations.
* Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems.

Requirements:
* 5+ years of Python, Java, C++, or Scala development experience.
* 5+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus).
* 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
* Startup mentality with strong ownership.
* Excellent product strategic thinking and communication skills.
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
* 3+ years of Python, Java, C++, Scala development experience
* 3+ years of SQL experience
* 3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
* Experience with ML & AI
