Services Sales Manager

As an Engagement Manager at MongoDB, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our cutting-edge database platform by collaborating with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams. Your expertise in sales, technology, and consulting will be essential in scoping, negotiating, and closing Professional Services opportunities, ensuring our customers' success with MongoDB.

Responsibilities:

• Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored digital transformation approaches using MongoDB technologies.
• Develop account strategies and plans in partnership with the sales organization.
• Manage the Professional Services pipeline, forecasting bookings and revenue for your region.
• Articulate the business value of professional services and address service delivery challenges.
• Create repeatable assets such as estimates, proposals, and SOWs.
• Transition project scope and customer expectations to the delivery team for successful project execution.
• Mentor team members and share best practices.
• Demonstrate situational awareness and react appropriately in group settings.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in selling Professional Services or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
• Experience as an architect, consultant, project manager, or Professional Services manager.
• Ability to collaborate within a larger account team.
• Ability to scope and estimate engagements and build commercial models.
• General knowledge of Databases (RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (Agile, Waterfall).
• Fluency in German and English
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of software architecture including cloud and on-premise technologies (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Openshift).
