Senior Product Manager, Database Platforms

As a Senior Product Manager for Database Platforms at Adyen, you will define the strategy and vision for our database platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of engineers while maintaining security, scalability, and reliability. You'll balance immediate problem-solving with long-term innovation, creating and executing a product roadmap that enhances database performance, automation, and self-service capabilities. You will build and drive an efficient value stream with surrounding capabilities (e.g. cloud infrastructure) to create valuable solutions, and act as a thought leader, influencing engineering culture and advocating for best practices.

This role requires 5+ years of product management experience with technical platforms or database-related domains. Strong technical fundamentals are essential for collaborating with database engineers and infrastructure teams. You should be able to make strategic trade-offs, balancing business needs, engineering priorities, and operational considerations. A growth mindset and a data-driven decision-making approach are crucial, along with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Bonus points for a deep understanding of database platforms and experience scaling them for mission-critical systems, a background in infrastructure or application development, and contributions to open-source projects.
