Senior Industry Consultant

Join MongoDB's Industry Solutions team as an Insurance Industry Expert! In this remote/flexible role, you'll be a thought leader, crafting and delivering industry-specific content (webinars, white papers, blogs, presentations) and engaging with senior executives to showcase MongoDB's value. Your mission is to align MongoDB as the go-to solution for the Insurance industry, understanding client needs and guiding them through data-driven modernization. You'll collaborate with product, partners, marketing, and sales teams, influencing deals and advising clients from startups to enterprises. Focus will be on the EMEA market (ideally based in Barcelona), with about 30% travel. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Switzerland for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:
* Translate technical concepts into business benefits for senior management.
* Create training materials, slide decks, whitepapers, and blogs.
* Partner with sales to ensure account success and build client relationships.
* Present MongoDB's position at industry events (in-person and digital).
* Represent MongoDB in international organizations and standardization bodies.
* Communicate field requirements to product management.
* Demonstrate resilience and guide junior colleagues.
* Proactively enable other functions like Sales, Pre-Sales, and Marketing.
* Maintain situational awareness in group settings.

Requirements:
* 8+ years in the Insurance industry (sales, underwriting, policy administration, claims processing, etc.).
* Experience solving problems with data and implementing business solutions in software delivery teams (architect, data engineer, or developer).
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems.
* Ability to discuss a broad range of data technologies (RDBMS, document, key-value, unstructured, noSQL, JSON, XQuery/XML).
* Strong English language skills.

Nice to Have:
* Master’s degree or beyond.
* Experience with standards definition and working in forums/committees.
* Strong understanding of data modeling and architecture principles.
* Experience with data models and schemas.
* Experience with database programming and data models.
* MongoDB Certification.
* Additional language skills.
