React Java Microservices Full Stack Engineer Spring Cloud

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our Payments Engineering Team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining the financial systems that power employer-sponsored health benefits. As a member of our collaborative team, you will design, develop, and support scalable and secure platform services, with a focus on full-stack development across backend (Java/Spring Cloud), integration platforms, and frontend (React/Angular/GraphQL). You will contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects using AI-powered developer tools and collaborate with product managers, operations analysts, and data teams to build solutions leveraging Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS). You will also work with the operations team to create efficient processes through automation to improve SLAs and drive reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems.

Responsibilities:
* Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services.
* Lead full-stack development and support of services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud), integration platforms, and frontend (React/Angular/GraphQL).
* Utilize AI-powered developer tools and contribute to AI adoption.
* Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners and our claims engine.
* Collaborate with product managers, operations analysts, and data teams in building solutions that leverage BRMS.
* Actively work with the operations team to create efficient processes through automations to improve SLAs.
* Understand architectural decisions and actively drive reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems.

Requirements:
* 8+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
* Strong proficiency in Java & Spring Cloud, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture.
* Proven experience building UI features using React/Angular with GraphQL.
* Regular use of AI-enhanced development tools.
* Extensive experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP preferred).
* Hands-on experience in data architecture, SQL/PostgreSQL, and developing data-intensive services.
* Experience in working with Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS).
* Excellent communication skills across all levels and teams.
* Prior experience in building, launching, and maintaining complex systems.
* Balances efficiency with attention to detail.
* Enjoys collaborative work environments with supportive colleagues.
