We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the next generation of CLEAR products. You will be instrumental in building applications that extend beyond traditional ID, enabling seamless navigation in an increasingly connected world through digital identity. As an Android Engineer, you will be involved in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of applications that enhance our platform, focusing on interconnecting attributes and qualifications while prioritizing member privacy and security. This role resides within the Travel & Aviation team, collaborating with various engineering and product teams to create exceptional consumer experiences within our airport lanes. Mobile is a critical aspect of our user experience, and this role offers a significant opportunity to impact member interactions with CLEAR.
What you'll do:
- Develop and deliver code across the mobile stack, creating delightful user experiences and championing engineering excellence through best practices in app architecture, testing, observability, and documentation.
- Partner with product, design, and other stakeholders to uncover requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems.
- Contribute to advancing our capabilities across a wide range of industries and domains while gaining hands-on experience with privacy, security, data modeling, and architecture.
- Take ownership of your work, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously seek ways to improve technology and processes at CLEAR.
What you're great at:
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with mobile application development, and familiarity with at least a few of:
- Android ecosystem, including Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Collaboration, integration, and deployment tools like GitHub, Jenkins, App Store, and Play Store
- Working in and familiar with agile development environments
- Articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deep collaboration across engineering, product, and design.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
- Curiosity about technology, a belief in constant learning, and the ability to be autonomous in determining what's important.
