The mission of the Sales Engineer (SE) at LogicMonitor is to drive technical excellence during the pre-sales process by clearly demonstrating the value of our platform to prospective customers. Acting as trusted advisors, SEs play a pivotal role in guiding prospects through their evaluation journey and establishing LogicMonitor’s capabilities as the solution to resolve their pains and meet their outcomes. In addition to supporting sales engagements, Sales Engineers are recognized as subject matter experts within the broader sales organization, working with various teams and departments to improve the LogicMonitor platform.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
Lead live, tailored demonstrations that identify technical and business pain points, positioning LogicMonitor’s solutions to maximize customer value
Design and execute hands-on POV/POC implementations, integrating LogicMonitor’s platform into complex hybrid infrastructures to validate business and technical value
Act as a trusted advisor, working closely with personas in IT Admins, DevOps teams, and C-level executives to drive adoption.
Partner with other LogicMonitor teams to align technical solutions with business needs, enhancing product adoption and sales enablement
Develop technical playbooks and streamlined POV/POC execution strategies, enhancing consistency and reducing sales cycle inefficiencies.
Influence product development by providing customer-driven feedback to Engineering and Product teams, shaping future features.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree or other technical degree preferred
5+ years’ experience in System Administration or Sales Engineering role
Ability to clearly and articulately translate technical and product positioning to both technical and non-technical users
Experience communicating project requirements to executives and c-suite positions
Able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
Technical Skills to include experience in:
Full-stack, hybrid administration including, but not limited to, virtualization, server, various networking vendors and types, storage, databases, etc.
Cloud infrastructure administration in at least one of Azure, AWS, or GCP
Datacenter best practices
AI and AIOps
ITSM and/or ticketing systems
Automation and orchestration to help administration of the above
Certifications of the above a plus
DevOps a huge plus, especially scripting in Groovy, PowerShell, and/or Python
Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, or problem-solving.
Experience in modern sales methodologies a huge plus
Willingness to travel to customer onsites and conferences.

Compensation packages at LogicMonitor for eligible roles include base salary, a variable plan depending on role, along with comprehensive benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary target for new hires in the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. LogicMonitor employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. The Base Salary range for this role is:
$104,000--$140,000 USD
