SGVHAK Study Session [ Monitoring Compressed Air Line Pressure ]
This SGVHAK study session focuses on a practical application: monitoring compressed air line pressure. The project involves a Wiznet5500 Pi Pico Hat PCB designed with KiCAD, a laser-engraved Mylar solder stencil, and an SMD/through-hole soldered board. Participants will assemble a pressure monitor in a 3D-printed enclosure and use HomeAssistant for pressure monitoring. The system uses a Festo SPAB to convert air pressure to voltage, read by the Pi Pico's ADC, and sends data to HomeAssistant via MQTT. The session is a hands-on opportunity to learn about hardware circuits, programming, PCB design, soldering, 3D printing, and more. Bring your laptop and join us for show and tells, idea sharing, project work, and weekly progress updates.
